Following a request from Muff Wiggler member "milkshake", I have recorded a series of slow filter sweeps, on a 50/50 Pulse wave from the Intellijel Rubicon. I have used 4 different VCA settings (for different amounts of drive, which in turn affects the range and response of the resonance knob. Resonance was increased manually a number of times on each VCA setting.
PATCH DETAILS:
1 - Four VCA settings were used: The first series of sweeps was recorded with the VCA Input Gain set to 12 o'clock, the second at 2 o'clock, the third at 3 o'clock, and the fourth at full gain.
2 - The resonance knob was increased gradually on each sweep, and you can hear that at higher VCA settings there is little difference between the initial few turns, but at the high gain settings you can venture further into the high resonance settings without it becoming to piercing.
3 - You would probably not use the very high frequency range of this filter when creating bass sounds, but I wanted to show the full range of the filter, hence their inclusion on these demos. The next demo will show more of the typical frequency range you would use for bassy sounds.
